karla warnke flygare, flute Karla Warnke Flygare is the principal flutist for the Pacific Northwest Ballet Orchestra and the Auburn Symphony, with whom she is also a frequent soloist. Active as a recitalist and chamber musician, Ms. Flygare has performed at the Seattle Art Museum, Chamber Music San Juans (Friday Harbor), Mostly Nordic Chamber Music Series, Canadian International Expo Festival, Tacoma's Second City Chamber Series and Jacobsen Recital Series. She has been a featured soloist with the Northwest chamber Orchestra, with whom she also serves as Principal Flute. She is a past winner of the Northwest Young Artist Series, and the National Flute Association Chamber Music Competition. A respected teacher, Ms. Flygare is on the faculty at the University of Puget Sound.
